My Tommy at 30

My oldest son Tommy turned 30 this last Saturday!
His sweet wife put on a fun celebration at their house with a few friends and close family.
Lots of fun! 

 I had fun doing this picture arrangement for him.  Isn't he handsome?

Now for the sentimental stuff....

Tommy was due on my birthday, May 30th but he came 4 days sooner.

He had his first outing to Grandma & Grandpa's to celebrate Mommy's b~day at 4 days old:) Big Sister Heather is so proud!

 Tommy, you have been a special gift to me. I'm truly blessed to have you for a son and a friend!

Farmin' In The City

Just 2 miles from my home is this beautiful farm in the middle of the city!

Jill raises chickens, grows peaches among many other beautiful fruits and vegetables.

I stopped by to buy some eggs and peaches and what do you know?

My grandbabies showed up! They live around the corner from her and have made friends with her too!

What a treat for me ;)

Yesterday was my son-in-law's birthday. We have been thankful for him from the beginning. He is such a loving husband, father and son. 
God has truly blessed us to give him to our family and a husband to our sweet daughter.

Mother's Day 2012

Today was a beautiful, relaxing Mother's Day filled with beautiful moments that I want to "still frame" in my head. 
We did it very low key, homemade breakfast, lazy time on the couch, nap.
Then we had pizza and ice cream at Heather & Mike's.
The Kid's played on the slip n' slide while we sat and visited.

So nice....
I am so very blessed.


I also want to remember my sweet mama today.
She will forever be in my heart. 
I miss you Mom...

Happy 100th Birthday Arizona, A Tribute to One of Her Authors

Arizona has produced some pretty amazing authors but I've never met any of them personally till last Friday

Thomasina J. Burke wrote a touching book, Magic Bridge.  It starts out in Crown King, Arizona but you head out to visit places all over the world!

I had the privilege of meeting her at my granddaughter's piano recital last Friday!

If you have a chance, pick up this book. It's delightful!
